Helen has studied the harp since the age of 9. After graduating in French from Aberystwyth University she lived in Paris for 2 years. Afterwards she gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance on the harp from Bangor University, studying with the Director of Harp Studies Elinor Bennett.
She won the harp solo competition at the Urdd National Eisteddfod and at the Pan Celtic Festival in Ireland. Helen has toured extensively as a harpist in Belgium, France, Denmark and Croatia as well around the UK. She has performed at Lorient Interceltic festival in Brittany and at the Cirque d’Hiver in Paris.
Helen is an experienced harpist at all types of functions, weddings and corporate occasions and has performed many times at National Trust venues. She has entertained HRH the Prince of Wales amongst her engagements. Having spent 18 years based in Manchester where she played as part of the Elysian Duo (elysianduo.co.uk) Helen moved back to North Wales in 2008 with her family and has enjoyed being involved in local art projects such as Adain Avion and Llawn 01 in Llandudno.
